Nonpartisan verification service for U.S. political campaigns, PACs, and committees.

What is Campaign Verify?

Campaign Verify is a nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2020 to verify the identity of political campaigns and prevent impersonation in text messaging. They issue Authorization Tokens that prove to carriers, The Campaign Registry, and messaging platforms that your campaign is legitimate.
Mission: “Provide a public service on a non-partisan basis to verify the integrity and authenticity of text message and other communications related to political campaigns and elections in order to educate the public, ensure public confidence in American elections, and protect political and civic rights.”

Why Campaign Verify exists

Election security is a major national concern. Foreign influences and domestic bad actors can exploit text messaging’s high open rates to spread disinformation and impersonate campaigns. Campaign Verify provides a critical checkpoint to ensure message senders are who they claim to be. Campaign Verify was founded by a bipartisan board with expertise in wireless messaging and political campaigns from both sides of the aisle. They work with the FCC, FBI Foreign Influence Task Force, and telecommunications industry to protect election integrity.
Election security is neither a Republican nor Democratic issue - it’s about protecting democracy itself.

How Campaign Verify works

1

Find Your Filing Record Online

Locate your committee’s public filing on the FEC website (federal) or your state/local election authority website. You’ll need the direct URL to this record.
2

Submit Verification Request

You have two options:
  • Submit through Political Comms (recommended). During brand setup, choose “Request a new Campaign Verify token.” Our integration submits your verification request, filing record URL, committee details, contact info, and the $95 fee directly to Campaign Verify on your behalf. No separate account needed.
  • Submit through CampaignVerify.org directly. Create an account at CampaignVerify.org, submit a verification request with your filing record URL, committee details, and contact information, and pay the $95 fee. When approved, bring the token back to Political Comms and paste it into the brand setup form.
3

Get Your Secure PIN Code

Campaign Verify reviews your filing and confirms your identity (typically 3–14 days depending on filing availability). Once approved, they issue you a secure PIN code.
4

Generate Authorization Token

Use your PIN to generate an Authorization Token in the Campaign Verify portal. This token is what you provide to your messaging platform for 10DLC registration.
5

Reach Your Voters!

With your Campaign Verify token, you can complete 10DLC registration and start sending verified messages. Your token is valid for 1 year.
